Our Case Studies

Mentoring
Circle

Challenge: Underutilization of key talent within a manufacturing engineering organization led to some women not feeling valued and respected.

Women’s Leadership
Program

Challenge: Although new female engineers were being recruited into the organization, many women in the pipeline were looking for further development to position themselves for future leadership positions.

Organizational
Design

Challenge: A new function was created as part of a global reorganization to better serve the technical needs of the larger organization. There was a lack of vision, strategic initiative, and trust between the leaders within this new function, and the larger organization.

Results

Solution: Created and led a Mentoring Circle to nurture learning and growth for Women by studying Professional and Personal Growth topics.  The circle provided a safe  environment to support each other with professional issues, and to challenge each other to think bigger.

Individual Results:

  • 100% of members credited the Circle for a positive change in their life.
  • 100% said they were more likely to take on a new opportunity or challenge as a result of the circle.
  • 65% moved to a new position.
  • 30% moved into a lead role.
  • 100% said their confidence ceiling “set point” had been raised.
Organization Results:

  • Follow Through on Commitments
  • Improved Engagement and Productivity
  • Solved Long-Standing Problems with Permanent Corrective Actions

Results

Solution: Lead One Lead All identified emerging female leaders, and created a 7 week comprehensive program for women that focused on personal, career and leadership development.

The women experienced an increase in the following areas:

  • Vision for the Future – 20%
  • Improved Leadership Presence – 25%
  • Increased Confidence and Clarity– 50%
  • Built and Leveraged Network – 40%
  • More Balance Between Home/Work – 15%

Results

Solution: Worked with the leadership team to develop a vision with multi-year strategic initiatives by obtaining, prioritizing and organizing input from the leaders and key stakeholders.  Utilized assessments with the leadership team to build trust by understanding and appreciating personality style and cultural differences.

Organizational Results:

  • An aligned strategic vision with 5-year plan to organize the way work was planned and executed
  • Improved relationships, engagement and productivity, which led to:
    • 7% reduction in the standard “basket of goods”
    • 20% floor space reduction
